Golden Knights rally past Caps for 3-2 win in OT Update to follow

In Washington, DC, William Carrier  scored for the Vegas Golden Knights with less than six minutes to go in the third period to tie the 2-2 with the Capitals.

That was enough to force extra time.

In the extra session, Shea Theodore hit for the winner with 95 seconds gone in the OT.

Logan Thompson made 19 saves in the Vegas win.

The Golden Knights improved to 9-2-0.

The Caps held a 2-1 lead on the strength of goals form Marcus Johansson and Trevor van Riemsdyk.

After the Caps took a 1-0 lead in the first period off the Johansson goal, Jack Eichel  hit for a power play marker to tie it, 1-1, before the end of the frame.

Charlie Lindgren made 28 saves in the Washington loss.
