GWINNETT, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators took their first steps in forming their 2010-2011 roster by protecting eighteen players. Players on the list can negotiate only with the Gladiators, and it was the first of three moves the team must make to prepare for the free-agent signing period. All trades made by “future considerations” must be completed by June 13, and the ECHL season-ending rosters are due on June 15 . Gwinnett protected seven defensemen, 10 forwards and one goaltender. The players on the Gladiators protected list are defensemen Jamie Fritsch, Sean Hurley, Josh Engel, Drew Paris, Sam Roberts , Phil Youngclaus and Nick St. Pierre. The forwards on the protected list are Jason Lawrence, Tom Zanoski, Matt Francis, Scott Mifsud, Mike Radja, Pat Bateman , Adam Berti, Brad Schell, Matt Caruana and Dan Sullivan while David Brown is the only goaltender on the protected list. The Gwinnett Gladiators open their eighth season in the ECHL in October of 2010. The team has season ticket packages for the 2010-2011 season on sale now. In addition, the Gladiators offer several unique multi-game ticket packages as well as discounted group rates, suite rentals, and birthday parties.
