Friday night hockey in Belfast saw the Giants take both points at home to Guildford Flames.
The Giants won the game with two quick goals in the opening period – Curtis Hamilton finished off the first with 9:09 played, before some bad Flames turnovers eventually led to Ben Lake shooting past Travis Fullerton for 2-0 50 seconds later.
Guildford finally got on the board on a late 5-on-3 powerplay with 4:40 to play – Jesse Craige firing in a slapshot form the point to make it a 2-1 game. That was however where the scoring stopped, some late chances for both teams didn’t produce any more goals.
