Belfast Giants made it a weekend double over Glasgow Clan, logging a 4-2 win in Braehead on Sunday.

The fans at the SSE Arena didn’t see a goal in the opening period on Saturday night, but Braehead Arena was treated to three on Sunday afternoon.
Jordan Kawaguchi was left alone at the back post to bang home with 5:45 played. Exactly six minutes later, a bad turnover allowed Nicholas Gay to wind up a wrist shot and put the Giants two ahead. In between those goals, Lucas Brine pulled off an excellent glove save to keep Jake Gaudet’s shot from the slot out.
Tristin Langan neatly rounded Jackson Whistle to pull one back for the Clan at 14:43, but they were undone by a Mike Lee shot deflected off Jason Fram’s skate with just seven seconds left in the period to put the visitors back two in front.
Whistle made an excellent save to stop Brett Neumann levelling the game with just over 11 minutes left in the period, but Clan did pull another back thanks to Colton Poolman jumping into the play and rocketing a shot past the Giants goalie.
Reid Irwin was on his knees to block a Brayden Burke shot as the Giants led by one through 40 minutes.
Brine made another excellent save, this time with his glove, to deny Scott Conway a breakaway goal as Clan stayed just one behind.
Clan had the majority of possession in the closing stages but it was the Giants goalie who was the difference. Whistle also stopped Poolman in close with just over three minutes to go as the Giants netminder led a charmed life.
With 42 seconds to go and Brine already pulled, the Clan called a timeout to draw up their final plays. However, for the second night in a row, David Goodwin hit the empty net from his own zone to wrap up the game with 33 seconds to play.
