Gazda set to make his mark!

The Dragons are happy to announce the return of Peter Gazda.

Having lost import Filip Supa for a few weeks due to injury, head coach and newly appointed Dragons General Manager Scott Mckenzie has moved quickly to secure the services of fan favourite Peter Gazda.gazda

Gazda was a regular in the Dragon and Freeze set up from the 2009/10 season till his last appearance for the Dragons in 2014, icing for more than 70 games Gazda has contributed over 20 points and collected over 140 penalty minutes in the process.

Having not played competitive hockey for a couple of seasons Pete was surprised but excited to get back on the ice with the senior team having been training recently with the Deeside Demons rec side.

Scott was happy to add Gazda to his side after seeing him in training this week ‘Pete skated with us this week and I like what I saw. With Filip missing for a few more weeks, Pete gives us that extra bit of depth that we need. He is a solid no nonsense D man that will tighten us up at the back. It’s great to have Pete on board’.

The Dragons travel to Sheffield this Sunday to face the Sutton Sting, seats still available on the team bus. Contact us on Deeside_Dragons@hotmail.com for more information. Dragons next home game takes place Sunday 6th November Vs Whitley Bay Warriors
