FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Komets (15-10-2-0) rounded out the 2015 portion of the ECHL season with a big 7-0 win over the Indy Fuel (14-16-2-0) Friday night at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on New Year’s Eve.
Mike Embach led the way for the Komets with a goal and four assists, and four Komets registered multiple-point games. Komets goaltender Pat Nagle made 37 saves for the shutout, his second of the season.
Shane Owen (10 saves, 14 shots) worked the first half of the game and took the loss for the Fuel, while newly-acquired Jordan Ruby mopped up with 14 saves on 17 shots.
The Fuel now host the Komets in the second half of the home-and-home series New Years Night at 7:35 pm. The Morellis Cleaners Pre-game Show starts 15 minutes before every puck drop on CBS Sports 1430.
