Four games on Sunday round off busy EIHL schedule

The busy Christmas and New Year period comes to an end on Sunday afternoon with four games on the schedule from 5pm.

Nottingham Panthers could extend their lead at the top of the Elite League if they can get past Glasgow Clan on Sunday. With neither Cardiff Devils nor Sheffield Steelers in action, the Panthers can move at least two points clear at the summit. Clan arrive in Nottingham looking to snap a three-game losing streak.

In Scotland, Fife Flyers return to home ice after defeat in Sheffield to welcome Manchester Storm to Kirkcaldy. Both sides were beaten on Saturday night but enjoyed positive results over the holiday period. Storm are leading the pack in the middle of the table, while Fife sit eight points off a playoff place.

Bottom side Dundee Stars host Guildford Flames on Sunday as they look to move off the foot of the table. They face a Flames side playing their second road game of the weekend, having taken an overtime point in Nottingham on Saturday. Dundee were beaten in Cardiff, while Guildford remain one of the league’s form teams with just one regulation loss in their last seven games.

Finally, Belfast Giants continue their weekend on the road with the short trip from Manchester, where they claimed a late win on Saturday night, to Coventry. The Blaze have been in good form of late with five points from their last six, while Belfast could move into third place with a win, having dropped just one point in their last nine games.
