Flyers tripped up in Carolina

In Raleigh, Frederik Andersen made 28 saves in a 3-1 win for the Hurricanes over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers in a Saturday matinee.

Carolina scored the game-winner at 16:10 of the third period.

The Hurricanes improved to 41-12-5.

Derick Brassard was the lone goal scorer for the Flyers.

Carolina’s Steven Lorentz hit for a goal in the middle frame, his marker gave the Canes a a 1-0 lead.

Sebastian Aho iced the win with an empty-net goal.

Martin Jones made 33 saves in the Flyers loss.
