PHILADELPHIA – Nothing gets the blood flowing more than a visit from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Well, maybe not.

On Wednesday night the Penguins came calling to Philadelphia and skated off with a 5-2 win.
The victory pushed the Pens back into the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
“There’s a lot of hockey still to be played,” Penguins forward Sidney Crosby said. “… It’ll be tight all the way to the end but it was good to get two points tonight, big divisional game. We’ll have more the rest of the season here.”
Conor Sheary struck twice and Evgeni Malkin, Jamie Oleksiak, Phil Kessel added single markers in the win.
“[Sheary] works so hard, he goes to tough areas,” Crosby said. “Doesn’t always come to you there but he continues to go there. Great example on the two goals he had. He works hard and it was great to see him get rewarded tonight.”
Tristan Jarry made 26 saves to pick up the win.
“I think they just took advantage of the opportunities they got,” Flyers defenseman Andrew MacDonaldsaid. “Odd-man rush and they got pucks to the net. Our coverage was a little bit soft on a few occasions in the second and they took advantage and they capitalized.”
The Flyers have now dropped four straight games, 0-3-1.
Jakub Voracek and Travis Konecny scored for the Flyers.
Philadelphia was 0-for5 on the power play.
“Power play was [poor] tonight and it’s frustrating,” Claude Giroux said. “We did a good job of drawing those penalties and gaining momentum and it wasn’t good.”

Petr Mrazek made 23 saves in taking the loss.
“No time to dwell on it. We’ve got to play Boston tomorrow night. We’ll take a flight up there tonight and get right back at it,” Wayne Simmonds said after the game.
