Flyers’ streak reaches 10 in loss in Newark Update to follow

In Newark, the Philadelphia Flyers were shutout by the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night, 3-0.

The loss extended the Flyers schneid to 10 games.

Mackenzie Blackwood made 25 saves in the shutout win.

New Jersey improved to 10-9-5.

Jesper Bratt scored all the offense Blackwood would need, in the early minutes of the middle frame, for a 1-0 lead to New Jersey.

Dawson Mercer doubled the advantage to 2-0 with a goal just past the midway point of the second period.

For Philadelphia, the offense remains AWOL this season.

Michael McLeod added an empty net goal with 30 seconds left on the clock for the 3-0 final.

The Flyers are 0-8-2 on their skid.

Carter Hart made 24 saves in the Philadelphia loss.
