Flyers get even in home-and-home set with Rangers

PHILADELPHIA – A night after the New York Rangers took a 3-2 overtime win from Philadelphia, the  Flyers returned the favor in a 4-3 win on their home ice.

Travis Konecnypicked up the game-winner as time was getting short in the extra session.

Oskar Lindblom, Samuel Morin and Scott Laughton scored for the Flyers in regulation play.

The Rangers had built a 2-0 lead on goals by Paul Carey and David Desharnais but needed a late goal in the third period from Michael Grabner to force extra time.

Brian Elliott got the win on 25 saves; Ondrej Pavelec made 34 stops in taking the loss.
