The Flyers’ Bobby Brink had a goal and two points in regulation, and was credited with the deciding goal on penalties.

“All that matters is to walk away with two points,” Brink said. “Not going to say it was the best game we’ve ever played, but we came for two points and we got it.”

Samuel Ersson made 24 saves for the win.

Justin Brazeau staked the Pens to a 1-0 lead in the game.

Brink hit off the power play late in the fist period to knot the game, 1-1.

Travis Konecny struck early in the middle frame to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead.

“Nice milestone to reach,” Konecny said. “And I got a nice picture with the guys in the room. You can’t get to that unless you have great teammates helping you on the ice.”

Sidney Crosby scored just past the midway point of the third period to tie the game and force extra time which solved nothing.

Arturs Silovs made 32 saves in the Penguins loss.

He made some big saves there,” Penguins coach Dan Muse said. “I think especially in the second period … I thought there was a lot coming at us and we weren’t generating as much as we wanted to, so he came up big there.”
