Making his third consecutive start since returning to the lineup after injury, Steve Mason took his stance in between the pipes with Blues goaltender, Brian Elliot in the opposite net across the ice.

Starting the period with fast paced physical play, St. Louis dominated early.

With a Flyers turnover in the neutral zone, Vladimir Tarasenko found the puck on his stick. Finding Jaden Schwartz in front of net, Schwartz buried his 21st goal of the season.

Earning the first power play of the game with Marcel Goc in the box, the orange and black attempted to get on the score board. As man advantage time expired, Philadelphia was unsuccessful.

Having ample opportunities as the first period came to a close, St. Louis held onto the lead 1-0.

Beginning the second period, Flyers were sent on the power play. Committing a crime of their own during the man advantage, 4 on 4 hockey was played. Struggling to produce on either side of the ice, the game remained in the Blues favor.

As a quiet second period came to an end, Blues were still on top.

Coming out for the final 20 minutes of play, Philadelphia took control.

Getting the Flyers on the score sheet, Michael Del Zotto netted in his 9th of the season mid way through the period. Increasing the lead just two minutes later, Wayne Simmonds lit the lamp, notching his 26th.

With the clock clicking down to zero, Elliot made his way to St. Louis bench.

Sliding the puck down the ice for the insurance goal, Michael Raffl scored his 15th goal of the season. As the horn sounded, the Flyers earned the two points.
