Flyers 2025 right wing prospects

PHILADELPHIA, Pa – If it is one position that the Philadelphia Flyers have plenty of depth at it is on the right side of the hockey rink. Right wing is clearly the best position on the Flyers depth chart. Rookie Matvei Michkov showed why he was worth the wait with 26 goals and 37 assists leading all Flyers right wingers in goals. Six of the Flyers right wingers had double digit goals and accounted for 117 goals. Overall the team scored 232 without the aid of the league’s 30th ranked power play.

Flyers current parent club have Travis Konecny, Owen Tippett, Garnett Hathaway, Tyson Foerster, and Bobby Brink. That’s not a bad crop of players. Olle Lycksell is gone, while Foerster, Brink, and Michkov graduate off out top 5 list.  The prospect pool on RW is as solid as it’s ever been. Without further ado, let’s look at the top five Philadelphia Flyers right-wing prospects.

Porter Martone – The sixth overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, Martone has star potential. He will attend Michigan State in the fall after back-to-back 30+ goal seasons in the OHL. Expect Martone to make the Flyers roster next season.

Denver Barkey – The second of two third round picks in 2023m, Barkey had a championship season for the London Knights. Everything screams first line winger with the kind of talent he display in training camp. He will spend a year in the AHL, then will probably crack the Flyers roster next season.

Samu Tuomaala – After a 27 goal season in 2023, The Finish native has seen his stock drop significantly. Average play at the AHL level could become a make or break year for him.

Shane Versaghi – Versaghi is also attending Michigan State this season after spending time in time in the USHL for the USA National Development program.

Devin Kaplan – The Boston University product will spend at least a season in the AHL before graduating to the big club. The Flyers love his compete level and could see time on a third or fourth line with the Flyers.
