In Las Vegas, Marc-Andre Fleury picked up his sixth shutout of the season as he made 17 saves to beat the Los Angeles Kings, 2-0.
“[All of the games] are big; the standings are so close,” Fleury said. “Every night, you need the points to stay in the race. They’re still all big games. We traveled so much in the first part of the season, so to be home for a bit and rest, it’ll be nice.”
Vegas improved to 24-15-4 and are 5-0-2 in their last seven games.
Brandon Pirri continued his hot streak with a goal in the early minutes of the third period to break the scoreless tie.
Pirri has six goals in the last seven games.
“That’s opportunity. You get opportunities, it’s going to go in sooner or later,” Pirri said of the shot disparity. “There’s too much talent in this room for it to not go in.”
LA dropped to 16-22-3.
Alex Tuch scored an empty-net goal late to seal the victory for Vegas.

Jack Campbell made every effort to get the Kings the win as made 46 saves in the loss.
Campbell had been out of the linmeup since early November with an injury.
“I just missed everyone so much,” Campbell said. “It’s really hard to describe going through an injury. To join the lineup [again] … I tried as hard as I could. I know we were tired, but effort is never in question on our team.”
