In Chicago, the Blackhawks returned home from a road trip on Sunday to face the visiting Calgary Flames.

The Blackhawks are seemingly skating without their entire starting squad form October.
The Blackhawks’ Connor Bedard (fractured jaw) and Nick Foligno (fractured left finger)Â were placed on injured reserve Sunday, with no timetable for their return.
“It [stinks] that we had so many guys drop like flies on that road trip. Really good players and really good people, too,” Blackwell said. “We’re missing them on game days and stuff like that, but I said in between intermission, it’s one of those things where it’s hard to make it to this league and it’s even harder to stay, so a lot of people are getting new opportunities and trying to make the most of it.”
Petr Mrazek made 28 saves in the win.
Chicago moved to 12-26-2, and snapped a five-game skid.
Blackwell scored his first of the game at 4:32 of the opening stanza to give Chicago a 1-0 lead.
Nazem Kadri, who also scored a double, tied the game, 1-1, at 13:12 off an easy tap in.
“Today, not the best,” Kadri said. “Obviously, walking out of here, .500 road trip (2-2-0), which is OK, but we felt like it could have been better. Unfortunate loss tonight, but we’re going to have to regroup.”
The Flames took a 2-1 lad when Andrew Mangiapane hit off the power play at 3:26 of the middle frame.
Chicago answered that with a marker form Philipp Kurashev at 12:09, of the second to tie it, 2-2..
Just over two minutes later, Nikita Zaitsev pushed the Blackhawks back in front, 3-2, with a goal at 14:49.
The Flames dropped to17-18-5.
Blackwell hit his double off a power play strike at 14:37 of the third period to give the Hawks a 4-2 lead.
They needed goal when Kadri hit for his double with under five minutes left in regulation for a 4-3 final count.
“He’s been unbelievable since he’s been back,” Chicago coach Luke Richardson said. “He was frustrated that it took so long to get back, but he did all the right things to get in shape. I was on the ice one day with the injured guys, and he really pushes, and he does all the right things in the gym and prepares himself, so I’m glad to see him have some success here.”
Dan Vladar made 17 saves in the loss.
