Five-goal third rallies Stars past Chicago, 6-4 Update to follow

In Dallas, the Stars trailed the visiting Chicago Blackhawks, 4-1 into the midway point of the third period.

That’s when the house fell in on Chicago as the Stars scored five straight goals in less than q0 minutes to take a 5-6-4 win over a stunned Hawks squad.

Dallas took a 5-4 lead with 1:33 left on the clock when Radek Faksa  hit for the game-winner.

Jake Oettinger made 31 saves in the Dallas win.

The Stars improved to 11-5-3.

Jason  Robertson scored twice for the Stars, his first goal gave them a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Chicago then reeled off four straight for a 4-1 lead into the third period.

The Blackhawks scored three times in the middle frame.

Seth Jones tied the game, 1-1, 4:22.

Andreas Athanasiou put the Hawks up, 2-1, and Connor Murphy extended the lad to 3-1.

With their fifth straight loss, Chicago dropped to 6-9-3.

At 9:37 of the third, Max Domi seemingly gave the Blackhawks an insurmountable 4-1 lead.

Boy was that wrong.

At 10:15 of the third, Dallas’ Jamie Benn (power play), Mason Marchment  added one f=more for a one-goal differential.

The Stars got even in the 15th minute of the period, 4-4, on a goal from Ty Dellandrea.

Robertson’s second goal was into an empty net for then 6-4 final.

Petr Mrazek made 27 saves in the Chicago loss.
