Duluth, Ga. – The Atlanta Gladiators announced that the club has re-signed defenseman Anthony Firriolo for the 2025-26 season.
Firriolo returns to Atlanta after posting 19 points (4g-15a) and a +7 rating in 49 games with the Gladiators last season. The 27-year-old was initially acquired by the Gladiators in a trade with the Toledo Walleye in December of 2024. He enters his third full season of professional hockey with 93 games of ECHL experience, spending time with Jacksonville, Indy, Iowa, Tulsa, Toledo and Atlanta since his professional debut in 2023.
The native of Montville, New Jersey played four years of college hockey at Army West Point from 2019-23, notching 75 points (22g-53a) in 123 games. Firriolo led all Army defenders in scoring his junior and senior seasons and was named to the Atlantic Hockey Association All-Second Team both years. In his senior season, he was named the Black Knights’ captain and posted a collegiate career high of 29 points in 36 games.
