Both Fife Flyers vs. Corona Brasov pre-season games have been cancelled after the Brasov team boarded two flights that ended up being cancelled.

A Flyers statement read:
The Fife Flyers would like to advise that Thursday’s (28th January) & Saturday’s (30th January) pre-season opponents CSM Corona Brasov have been unable to travel to Scotland for our two home games.
Originally scheduled to fly on Wednesday from Bucharest, after boarding the flight they were advised after 1 1/2 hours that the flight had been cancelled. The Flyers, in conjunction with Brasov, worked diligently to source alternate flights.
After sourcing new flights and arriving in Istanbul last night, Brasov boarded a flight to Edinburgh this morning, they were further advised that this alternative flight had also been cancelled. The Brasov management, staff and players have been attempting to travel to Scotland for the past 48 hours, which also resulted in them having to spend the night in Istanbul Airport.
While it is an extremely frustrating outcome, it has become apparent that Brasov will be unable to travel any further and player welfare is paramount in a situation such as this. We would like to thank everyone at CSM Corona Brasov for working with us and doing everything they could to travel for the games.
Further details can be found on the Flyers website.
