In Los Angeles, Kevin Fiala scored with 1.4 seconds left in extra time on Thursday night to give the Kings a 2-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
“I feel like we had so many chances. Just didn’t go our way,” Fiala said. “Hit bars, posts. We had so many long offensive shifts where we couldn’t connect, but we stuck together and kept going and kept going, and that’s how it turns out.”

LA improved to 9-6-1.
“It was a tight game from both teams,” Fiala said. “Both goaltenders played unbelievable. It was kind of a playoff game, you know, and it’s nice that we won.”
Phillip Danault scored in the middle frame to get the Kings even in the game at 1-1.
“This is more Kings hockey right now,” Danault said. “We’re playing good defensively, which creates frustration with the other team, and we create some chances on our side, so that’s Kings hockey right now.”
Chicago took a first period lead off a goal from Taylor Raddysh, his goal came on the power play
“We got that first goal, I thought we really deserved it,” Chicago coach Luke Richardson said. “Power play and penalty killing was excellent. I thought we could have had even more on the power play.” .
The Blackhawks dropped to 5-5-3, they’ve gone 1-3-3 in their last seven.
Petr Mrazek made 33 saves in the loss, it was his first game back from a groin injury n October.
“I think we got to tip our caps to ‘Raz’ tonight, he was unbelievable,” Chicago forward Max Domi said. “I haven’t seen a goalie performance like that for a long time, so he kept us in it for the whole game, got the point.”
