ProHockeyNews can confirm that the FPHL is in fact adding a 14th team.
Hockey is back in Monroe, Louisiana.
That’s right, it appears the Monroe Moccasins could be back. The name hasn’t been confirmed, but that’s the logical choice.
An anonymous source has confirmed that after 23 years hockey is finally returning to the Monroe Civic Center.
A local ownership group is running things.
I’m told that at least one member of the group is familiar with the FPHL, but my source was unable to disclose their names.
With the Athens Rock Lobsters, the recent announcement that the Danville Dashers are returning and the Elmira River Sharks have relocated to Poughkeepsie, NY becoming the Hudson Valley Venom, the league looks to be at a solid 14 teams.
ProHockeyNews can also report courtesy of our friends at the 10 Minute Misconduct: Unofficial FPHL Podcast, that Beaumont, Texas appears to be in the running for the 2025-26 season and will be hosting neutral site games this coming season.
This definitely sounds like great news for the future of the League.
