PAPILLION, NEBRASKA – The USHL West Division opened their playoffs this evening with two games in the opening best of five series. Omaha is the number one seed overall and will face number four Tri-City, while Fargo, the number to seed will face off against three seeded Sioux Falls.
Omaha verse Tri-City – Game One
Omaha 7, Tri-City 1 The Lancers opened the playoffs with a storm of goals defeating Tri-City with ease. Nick Oddo scored twice for Omaha who had a total of seven players recording two points this evening. Jeff Teglia was stellar in net stopping 19 of 20 shots for the win.
Fargo verse Sioux Falls – Game One
Fargo 5, Sioux Falls 1 Matt Leitner three points led the way for the Force as they defeated the Stampede to take game one of the five game series. Ryan Massa stopped 28 shots on goal in the winning effort for Fargo and Garrett Allen and Brian Cooper had two points apiece this evening.
