BLACKNELL,U.K- After a year away from the game Bracknell Bees player-coach Adam Bicknell has managed to talk defenceman Scott Moody out of his retirement to once again patrol the blue line for the Bees. The 6-2 defenceman will once again link up with Bicknell at the Hive for his second stint in a Bees shirt. Moody played for the Berkshire side from 2005 for two seasons before taking a break away from the game. Moody first hung up his skates following a poor season in the now-defunct British National league with Newcastle Vipers in 2004. Taking his time to pursue his next move the defenceman had a lengthy lay-off before signing for the Bees in 2005 under head coach Mike Ellis. A rejuvenated Moody help the Bees to a League Cup title in his first season, following up in 2006-07 with a league and playoff double winning season. Moody, like Bicknell and Bees captain for 2008-09 Matt Foord was also a product of bitter rivals Slough Jets development spending a number of years with his now coach and captain. Seeking out the 28 year-old was one of Bicknell’s main aim’s for the summer and is very pleased to secure his former team mate and close friend’s signature. “I am so pleased I have secured Scott’s services for the 2008-09 season, after a year out Scott has got the hunger back and is already preparing for next season,” Bicknell said “He is a top defenceman with the experience at playing at all levels in this country.” Also joining the Bees taking their squad to nine is Danny House. The rookie forward will return for a second season following a successful debut season in the English Premier league. The 18 year old who registered two goals in 39 appearances will look to improve under Bicknell with more ice time following the departures of fellow youngsters Ryan Watt and Shaun Thompson.
