Week 5 in the Elite Ice Hockey League features nine EIHL competition games spread across four days.

Sheffield vs. Nottingham fixtures rarely need much introduction, but Wednesday night’s Challenge Cup clash is a big one for both teams – each needs a win to strengthen their push for a top-two finish in Group A.
Also on Wednesday, Belfast Giants head to Switzerland for the final time this season to take on SC Bern in the Champions Hockey League.
Back in EIHL action, Friday night sees current league leaders Glasgow Clan host Manchester Storm for the second time this season.
Saturday night brings more league fixtures than Cup games for the first time this season. Cardiff Devils and Coventry Blaze meet again, this time for league points, while Guildford Flames – who play just once this weekend – travel to Fife Flyers. Manchester Storm return home to face Dundee Stars, who also play only once in Week 5.
Sunday rounds out the week with three Challenge Cup fixtures. Belfast Giants are back home following their trip to Switzerland and take on Fife Flyers in Group B. In Group A, Coventry Blaze continue their push for qualification when they welcome Sheffield Steelers, while Nottingham Panthers host Cardiff Devils at the Motorpoint Arena in a repeat of opening night.
