EIHL Week 2: 13 games coming up

The week ahead in the Elite Ice Hockey League features another busy run of Challenge Cup fixtures as group standings begin to take shape.

It’s league action first, however, when Guildford take on Nottingham on Wednesday night.

Cup action begins on Friday, when Cardiff Devils host Manchester Storm in Group A. Both teams picked up a win in Week 2 and have had decent starts to Cup games.

A packed Saturday schedule follows on 27 September with five games taking place. Nottingham host Guildford at the Motorpoint Arena, while Manchester and Cardiff meet again the following night at the Storm Shelter.

In Scotland, Fife Flyers entertain Dundee Stars in Kirkcaldy. Belfast Giants take home-ice advantage against the Glasgow Clan at the SSE Arena, and Sheffield Steelers round out the night by facing Coventry Blaze at the Utilita Arena.

Those games are then reversed in Group B, with Dundee and Glasgow home to Fife and Belfast respectively. In the south, Coventry return to the Skydome to host Nottingham, while the weekend concludes with Guildford taking on Sheffield at the Spectrum.
