It’s half-term in Scotland, and that means midweek hockey action – with two league fixtures taking place on Wednesday night.

Fife Flyers welcome the Nottingham Panthers to Kirkcaldy in the first meeting between the teams this season. The Flyers are still searching for their first league win, while the Panthers come into the game with three points from two outings.
In 33 previous league games in Fife, Nottingham hold the edge with 20 wins to the Flyers’ 13, with both teams averaging over three goals per game in those encounters.
Elsewhere, Glasgow Clan host the Sheffield Steelers at Braehead Arena, just over a week after claiming a 3-2 victory in Sheffield. Clan have four points from as many league fixtures this season, while the Steelers’ only other league outing so far was a win over Dundee.
The two sides have met 36 times in Braehead in league play, with Sheffield holding the upper hand – 23 wins to Glasgow’s 13.
