This past weekend, the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) resumed action across the 10-team circuit.
It was however, subdued in presentation and reporting through the matches of Saturday and Sunday.
The EIHL had gone quiet over the week following the death of Nottingham Panthers forward Adam Johnson the previous weekend.

In a match between the Panthers and Sheffield Steelers, Johnson succumbed following a cut to his neck from a skate blade.
The tributes extended to the pitch at a Nottingham football fixture this weekend.
The resumption of play this weekend was preceded by memorials and tributes in each of the four cities on the schedule on Saturday and Sunday.
Local authorities are reported to be investigating the “freak accident”, but no reports or rumor of inappropriate behavior have been made.
This weekend, we come together to remember and honour Adam Johnson.
At all games this weekend, we invite you to join us in observing a minute’s silence, followed by a minute’s applause, in memory of Adam. pic.twitter.com/rHNRg5dd50
