It’s a big Friday night in the Elite League as Week 9’s weekend action gets underway – but don’t be caught out by the earlier face-off times! Both games begin at 19:00, not the usual midweek 19:30.

In Cardiff, the Devils welcome Belfast Giants to the Vindico Arena just over a week after the sides met in Northern Ireland. The Devils went ahead that night but ultimately fell 3-1 after the Giants struck twice in the third period. It’s the first meeting between the teams in Wales this season. The Devils are coming off a four-point weekend, while Belfast picked up four points from six across their recent three-game week.
In Nottingham, the Panthers host Manchester Storm in a clash between two teams who’ve both led the standings in the early part of the season. A win for the Panthers could take them back to the top of the table. The sides met once home and away in the Challenge Cup, with the road team winning on both occasions. Last weekend, Nottingham collected three points from four, while the Storm beat Fife at home before falling narrowly in Cardiff.
