You did not have to go long without hockey – we are back tonight with four games as the busy period between Christmas and New Year continues!

Our day begins at 4pm in Belfast, where Glasgow Clan are the visitors. Clan picked up wins over Dundee after Christmas, and Fife before that, to put themselves on a good run of victories. The Giants saw their winning streak end on Sunday when they were beaten by Fife in a shootout.
League leaders Cardiff Devils are in Guildford from 7pm where they face the Flames. The Devils have scored seven past the Flames twice at the Vindico Arena this season, while their Challenge Cup meeting at the Spectrum finished 1-0 to Cardiff in a dead rubber. A pair of wins over Coventry put the Devils top of the table, while the Flames were beaten 3-2 in Manchester before winning by the same scoreline the following night.
Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers are tied on 10 points at the foot of the table, and both could use a pair of wins as the teams meet on back-to-back nights. The Flyers had an excellent shootout win over Belfast on Sunday, while the Stars are struggling with no win since 6 December and only one victory in their last 11 games.
Sheffield Steelers host Manchester Storm in Part 1 of the teams’ Winter Classic series, which will continue on New Year’s Day. The Steelers were top of the table after Boxing Day, but a loss the following night in Nottingham saw them slip to second. Manchester picked up useful home wins over Dundee and Guildford before losing to the Flames on the road inside the final five minutes.
