The festive spirit was in full flow across the Elite League as teams and fans came together to spread Christmas cheer.
Clubs from across the league will be donating more than 11,000 toys to good causes this festive season following a series of special events. Seven teams took part in ‘Air the Bear’ nights, encouraging fans to bring along plush toys to throw onto the ice when the home side scored their first goal.
In total, an incredible 10,793 bears rained down across seven arenas, creating some truly special moments. In Fife and Glasgow, supporters were also invited to donate toys directly for local charities, taking the overall total of donated items to more than 11,000.
We are incredibly proud of our fans and teams for once again showing the heart of our sport. Their generosity will help bring smiles to the faces of children across the UK this Christmas and make the festive season that little bit brighter.
