Eight EIHL teams in action on Saturday night

Four games and eight teams make up Saturday night in the Elite League, with two Pride Events taking place as the league’s Pride fortnight begins.

In Belfast, league-leading Giants welcome Dundee Stars back to the SSE Arena. It’s a special night for the hosts as they stage their Pride game in partnership with The Rainbow Project. On the ice, the Giants moved two points clear at the top with a midweek win in Guildford, extending an unbeaten run to six games and conceding just one goal across their last five. Dundee arrive on a three-game losing streak and slipped back to the bottom of the table last weekend. While the Stars won the first three meetings between the sides in the Challenge Cup earlier this season, the Giants have taken the last three league encounters by a combined score of 20–6.

Cardiff Devils, currently second, welcome Fife Flyers to the Vindico Arena. The Flyers begin a rare double-header road weekend and will be backed by more than 150 travelling fans across games in Cardiff and Coventry. Fife are searching for their first win in Wales since 2024 and their first away from Scotland since November. Cardiff, meanwhile, have been strong on home ice, winning 11 of their last 13 league games at the Vindico.

Nottingham Panthers and Guildford Flames continue a busy run of head-to-head meetings as they begin a home-and-home series at the Motorpoint Arena. In league play this season, the sides have a win apiece in Nottingham, where the Panthers remain unbeaten in 2025. This marks Nottingham’s return to domestic action after lifting the IIHF Continental Cup last week, during which they went more than 170 minutes without conceding a goal. Guildford were edged out by Belfast midweek and remain firmly mid-table.

Finally in Sheffield, it’s Pride Night and the start of a double home weekend for the Steelers, who return after a two-week spell on the road. Sheffield have won just one of their last five away games and sit eight points off the top, having played a game more than the leaders. Manchester Storm arrive in strong form, with defeats only to Belfast and Cardiff since the turn of the year. Storm were 5–3 winners when the teams met in Sheffield on 30 December and sit just four points behind the Steelers with two games in hand.
