ECHL brings 2022 All-Star Game to Jacksonville (part 1)

JACKSONVILLE, FLA – It may be a year late because of COVID but the Warrior/ECHL All-Star Game has made it to Jacksonville. The two-day event celebrating the premiere double-A hockey league began on Sunday with the Fan Fest.

Thousands of hockey flocked to the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena to take in locker room tours, entertainment and displays from the ECHL and the Hockey Hall of Fame. The most popular event was an opportunity to have pictures taken with the Stanley Cup, the holy grail of hockey trophies.

Sunday afternoon’s event leads into Monday’s All-Star Classic, this year pitting the Jacksonville Icemen against the league’s best. Between periods, there will be skills competitions including hardest shot and fastest skater. The game can be seen live on the NHL Network or viewed through the league’s streaming service, FloHockey.tv starting at 7:30 p.m.
