Dundas shooters solve Engelage

DUNDAS—Three times they played him, losing the first two games, but tonight the Dundas Real McCoys beat goalkeeper Andrew Engelage and the Whitby Dunlops 6-3 in Allan Cup Hockey action in Iroquois Sports Complex to earn their fifth victory of the season.

Whitby outshot Dundas 40-23; however, their short bench the McCoys would be defeated.

The next action for the McCoys will be on Friday, February 1sst when they travel to Hamilton’s Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena to play the Hamilton Steelhawks at 7:30 p.m.

The McCoys return home to play the Stoney Creek Generals at 7:30 p.m. in the Harry Howell Arena on Friday, February 8tth.  The Howell Arena is situated just west of Clappison’s Corners at the junction of Highways 5 and 6.

Tonight, Phil Brewer and Dan Lapointe scored twice each and set up another each for Dundas.  Brad Bonello added two more goals.  Darren Haydar and Jeff White assisted on three scoring plays apiece for the McCoys.  Whitby replied with single goals by Chris Gour, Kyle Ventura, and Tyler Melancon.
