DUNDAS—It did not seem to matter what the Dundas Real McCoys did last Friday night, the Hamilton Steelhawks scored five times to the mid-point of the second period enroute to a 6-3 victory in Allan Cup Hockey action in the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.
With the victory, the Steelhawks moved into first place with three wins and one loss. Dundas holds down third spot with a win, two losses and an overtime loss.
The McCoys next action is the first of two home games against the Whitby Dunlops and the Steelhawks. Dundas takes on the Whitby Dunlops on Friday (November 15th) at 7:30 p.m. in the JL Grightmire Arena. The following week, Dundas plays Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on November 22nd at home.

“We didn’t show up ready to go in Hamilton last Friday, and it showed,” said Don Robertson, President and General Manager of the McCoys.
“Our guys finally got their work boots on in the third period, but by then it was too late. It was a valuable lesson that we hope was learned,” added Robertson.
“We hope that they learned that you need a 60-minute effort to win in this League. Friday should be fun for the fans when we play Whitby.”
Justin Dibenedetto paced Hamilton with a goal and an assist, while Kris Newbury set up two scoring plays. Stephon Thorne, Brandon Maclean, Mike Folkes, Stephen Perfetto, and Reggie Traccitto added single goals for the Steelhawks.
For Dundas, Mark Bennett, Shane Terry, and Charlie Stephens scored once each, while Phil Brewer assisted on two of the scoring plays.
