There are troubles in Pittsburgh. Well, at least on Friday, those troubles were evident in Anaheim, as the Penguins lost their fifth straight, 3-2, to the Ducks.
“We’ve got to stay together and find solutions together, and that’s what we’ll do,” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. “We’ve got to pick ourselves up and get back in the fight. We’ve got another opportunity in front of us [Saturday] night [at the San Jose Sharks].”
John Gibson made 28 saves in the win.
“We all played really well together,” Gibson said. “I thought that was one of the better team games we’ve played in a long time. I’m just really proud of how everybody played out there.”
Jason Zucker scored both goals for the Pens.
Danton Heinen, Ryan Getzlaf and Brendan Guhle were the Ducks’ strikers.
“That’s a very good hockey team over there,” Ducks head coach Dallas Eakins said after the win. “I thought we played with a little snarl out there. When we do that, we usually play very well.”

Matt Murray made 18 saves in the loss.
“It’s important for us to stay positive right now,” Murray said/ “I think we’re doing a lot of good things as a team. If we keep playing that way, the results are going to start turning.”
