The Anaheim Ducks are having real issues finding wins anywhere on the schedule.
On Saturday night in Nashville, the Ducks lost to the Predators, 3-2, in the skills competition.
Kevin Fiala had a goal in regulation and scored the decisive marker in the shootout for
the Preds.
Pekka Rinne made saves to get win as the Preds improved to 11-2-1 in their last 14 games and are 16-7-3 overall.
“Obviously the first two periods were not good at all, but we stuck with it,” Predators forward Filip Forsbergsaid. “[Goaltender Pekka Rinne] played unbelievable, kept us in the game. They got a goal and we just keep battling back, and the third period was good.”
Calle Jarnkrok also scored for the Predators.
“Always when we play these guys, it’s a playoff game,” Jarnkrok said. “It’s a heavy game. I’m just happy we got the two points today.”
The Ducks are 1-4-2 in their last seven games.
“I thought we battled real hard,” Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. “I thought the game was played pretty much on an even balance there. It was a game that was physically challenging for both hockey clubs. We have to take the point and move on.”
Cam Fowler scored for Anaheim and Adam Henrique potted his first as a Ducks forward.

Ryan Miller took the hard luck loss on 33 saves.
“When you’re playing on the road, you’ve got to establish your style of game. And I thought we did a lot of good things in the hockey game,” Carlyle said after the loss. “They’re a good team. They rolled along and they find ways to be intimidating in this building, but I don’t think we were intimidated by it one bit. I think that the issue for us is we’re just going to have to continue to play our game and stay more disciplined in some of the things that are going on out there, and we’ll find our way.”
