Earlier this week, Pro Hockey News was informed of the loss of one its best.
On Saturday, 12 March 2022, Donald Berry Money, Jr. passed.
To say we are brokenhearted would be an understatement. Don has been with Pro Hockey News since we spun up our coverage beyond the old Western Professional Hockey League. Don was key to us expanding our reporting beyond the regional WPHL area.
For me, Don was affable, fun, good humored, knowledgeable, and passionate about hockey. He loved reporting, I like to think he loved working with PHN, I sincerely hope he did, because I truly loved having him at my side.
Pro Hockey News is working with Don’s closest friends in Orlando, his family and his fans to host a Zoom call on 26 March 2022 at 4:00 PM EST as a celebration.
We will post details about the Zoom invitation here and our social media outlets.
For now, the wound of Don’s passing is far too new to speak with reserve and respect he deserves. The hole in our hearts and the hole in out staff are gaping, we need time to recover.
We know we lost a professional, a colleague, a brother, a friend.
I will miss you Don, I wish you godspeed on your new path.
