The 27-year-old forward had 39 points (11 goals, 28 assists) in 72 regular-season games for the Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets last season, including seven points (two goals, five assists) in 19 games after he was acquired in a trade by the Hurricanes on March 21.
Domi had six points (three goals, three assists) in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the first round (No. 12) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Domi has 314 points (101 goals, 213 assists) in 501 regular-season games for the Hurricanes, Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens and Coyotes, and nine points (three goals six assists) in 24 playoff games.

Andreas Athanasiou also agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Blackhawks on Wednesday. The forward had 17 points (11 goals, six assists) in 28 regular-season games and one goal in six Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Los Angeles Kings last season.
A fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Draft (No. 110) by the Detroit Red Wings, Athanasiou has 196 points (105 goals, 91 assists) in 378 regular-season games with the Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers and Kings, and two goals in 15 playoff games.
Colin Blackwell signed a two-year, $2.4 million contract ($1.2 million average annual value) with Chicago. The forward had 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in 58 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Seattle Kraken last season. A seventh-round pick (No. 194) in the 2011 draft by the San Jose Sharks, Blackwell has 52 points (25 goals, 27 assists) in 138 games with the Nashville Predators, New York Rangers, Kraken and Toronto Maple Leafs.
