DiCristofaro’s 44 saves helps Port Huron muscle past Brewster

index PORT HURON, MI –  Andy DiCristofaro came up big on a night when he had to. The Prowlers had only 12 skaters available for the game and DiCristofaro’s 44 saves would be the difference in a 4-3 Prowlers’ win.

Three minutes later a delay of game penalty assessed to Anthony Lobionco would open the door for Roger Tagoona to find twine to put the Prowlers up 2-0. Junior Harris would register assists on both goals.
Dustin Jesseau brought a breath of life to the bulldogs as he would cut the lead in half with 7:23 left to go in the 2nd. Andy DICristofaro would stop all the rest of Brewster’s shot attempts. DiCristofaro would have 30 saves through two periods.
Third period, Brewster’s attack would get the better of Port Huron as John Sculley would get the game tying goal from Maxim Khaliullin seven minutes into the third. 20 seconds later Scott Witmyer would get the one goal lead back for his team while Roger Tagoona would again find twine.
Midway through the third the Prowlers would go up by two goals. With 1:10 left to go in the game MJ Graham would cut the Prowler lead in half with an empty net, but there just wasn’t enough time to get the equalizer and Port Huron would sneak out a win at home 4-3.
