The New Jersey Devils continued to befuddle the Canucks as they won for the 11th straight time over Vancouver on the road.
Sunday afternoon, the Devils tagged the Canucks with a 2-1 loss.
Mackenzie Blackwood made 30 saves in the win.
“I’m not really sure what it is, but I’ll take it,” Blackwood said. “I’m not going to overthink it too much. I just play like any other game and just so happens that we’ve been pretty successful against this team. I’m not going to think about it too much, just going to play them the same way every time and hopefully get the result we want every time.”
Brock Boeser scored the lone goal for the Canucks after the Devils had taken a 2-0 elad in the first period on goals 22 seconds apart.
“We did everything we could tonight but score,” coach Travis Green said.
Wayne Simmonds and Jesper Bratt were the strikers in the first period.
“We should play them every day if [Blackwood] is going to play,” Simmonds said. “He’s a good goaltender, big, athletic and stays square to the shooter, and he made it look pretty easy tonight. He did a great a job because the Canucks have some good offensive firepower.”

Jacob Markstrom made 25 saves in the loss.
“There’s not a magic recipe for scoring or you’d never get into a rut where you don’t scorem” Green said. “You have to stay with it. Our game looks very similar to when we were scoring. It’s just not crossing the line.”
