Davies relishing top-two test

Captain Matty Davies wants Rapid Solicitors Hull Stingrays to embrace the challenge of facing the top two in the Elite League this weekend.

Davies said: “We have to go to Belfast with no fear and give it a go. We have to go in confident we can get some points. We have never won there before so that is another incentive.

“Belfast are playing well and had a big weekend against Sheffield. The lads have never been there before and I know they are excited about it.

“The Odyssey is a great arena, they are a good organisation and you always want to test yourself against the best teams.

“We then come home and have another massive game against Braehead. We are 1-3 against them this year so we need to start taking more points from them.

“In the last game at home we played well against them and we will have to again if we are to get any points. They are a solid team, with a good defence and guys who can score.

“They are at the top of the league and are running away with the conference so we want to peg them back a little bit. It is a tough weekend but they all are now.”
