FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Stars have signed inked forwards Vernon Fiddler, Radek Dvorak and defenseman Adam Pardy at the opening of free agency today.
Fiddler, 31, is entering his 11th pro season. He played the last two years in Phoenix. Last season, he tallied 22 points (6 G, 16 A) and 46 penalty minutes in 71 games played. He’s a strong checking line center who has made a positive impact on the Coyotes’ penalty kill. Fiddler spent the bulk of his career with the Nashville Predators and the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). Dvorak, 34, is entering his 16th pro season. He was selected by the Florida Panthers in the first round (10th overall) in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He split time with Atlanta and Florida last season, registering 22 points (7 G, 15 A) and 24 PIM in 66 games played. Pardy, 27, is entering his seventh pro season. He played 30 games with Calgary last season, registering seven points (1 G, 6 A) and 24 PIM. At 6-4, 206 pounds, Pardy is a defensive defenseman who has tallied 26 points (4 G, 22 A) and 141 PIM in 147 NHL starts.
