was regrettable for its lack of wins. The single victory kept the ‘Clones in playoff contention but just barely. Coming home to US Bank Arena apparently was the elixir the club needed as they defeated division rival and nemesis Chicago in a tough tilt.

Net minder Brian Foster kept the squad in the game with some acrobatic saves but lost his bid for a shutout in the third stanza. Foster made 20 saves to seal the win, his 13th of the season.

Anthony Luciani continued his scoring ways with a three point effort as did center Matt Sisca. The club began the scoring in the opening period on a rare power play tally by Matt Carter.

Chicago never responded and the Cyclones defense held firm in support of Foster.

The middle period saw the home team extend their lead to two goals as the rivals battled furiously in front of both creases.

have gone in. Several attempts by the Express at instigation went unanswered as the ‘Clones kept their cool and no pugilism ensued.

The Cyclones played the third just as passionately as the initial two periods and extended the lead to a threesome before Chicago was able to answer the bell for a score of their own.

The ‘Clones answered with a final tally to regain the three-goal lead to complete the scoring in the contest.
