Cup Semi on EIHL schedule in Week 23

Week 23 in the Elite Ice Hockey League brings us our first knock-out game in the Challenge Cup semi-finals. Coventry Blaze host Belfast Giants on Wednesday night to start the week, the game coming just three days after the Giants came back from four down to beat the Blaze in overtime. The game is the first leg of their series.

Glasgow Clan are Friday night’s home team, welcoming Manchester Storm to Braehead.

It’s a full five-game schedule on Saturday night. Clan head to Manchester as the teams meet again for the second time within 24 hours. Coventry are home in league action against Dundee, while Guildford travel to Fife. At the top of the table, league leaders Belfast Giants are in Nottingham, while second-place Cardiff Devils host Sheffield Steelers.

The Giants are in Nottingham for a double-header, playing part two against the Panthers on Sunday afternoon. Sheffield return home to face Coventry, who go into the week as one of the league’s hottest teams. Dundee face Fife in a game that could end the playoff hopes of whoever loses, while Cardiff head to Guildford to complete the week.
