In Glendale, the Arizona Coyotes came back down to earth on Wednesday night. The Edmonton Oilers defeated Arizona, 
Connor McDavid resumed his relentless scoring march with two goals in a 5-3 Oilers win.
Leon Draisaitl also hit for a pair of markers in the win.
Draisaitl has 20 goals on the season.
“Connor and Leon were kind of feeling it tonight,” Edmonton’s Tyson Barrie said. “Just every night, those two are doing something and it’s pretty incredible. I don’t see them slowing down any time soon.”
Mikko Koskinen made 24 saves in the Oilers win.
“That’s the kind of team the Edmonton Oilers are,” Arizona head coach Andre Tourigny said. “You give them a chance to get going, and they will. They have talented players, world-class players.”
Arizona dropped to 4-14-2.
Arizona took a 1-0 lead in the game when Clayton Keller scored in the opening frame.
“We had a good start to the game, but then the second period and the first part of the third, we were kind of waiting for something to happen,” the Coyotes’s Anton Stralman said. “They slowly turned it around and we were on our heels a little too much.”
Zack Kassian had a single marker for Edmonton.
“He knows where to go to be effective and gives us the room that we need to make plays,” Draisaitl said of Kassian.
Travis Boyd and Shayne Gostisbehere struck for goals in the third period to get the Coyotes within 4-3, but McDavid added a late empty-net goal to ice the win.
Scott Wedgewood made 39 saves in the Coyotes loss.
