BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. – Andrew Mangiapane, Oliver Kylington and Tyler Graovac continued their respective point streaks but the Bakersfield Condors tripped up the Heat by a 8-2 score.
The Heat didn’t get off to the start the were hoping for as the Condors jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead before a quick transition for the Heat sprung Oliver Kylington, who’d rip a wristshot past Bakersfield goalie Stuart Skinner for his third goal of the season.
However, the Condors responded quickly 1:21 later to regain their two-goal advantage and just 54 seconds later capitalized to make it a 4-1 game.
Bakersfield continued the offense early in the second period while the Heat battled through a slew of penalty kills.
Stockton did breakthrough shorthanded for the first time this season thanks to Anthony Peluso, but a late two-man-advantage saw Bakersfield capitalize twice and carry that eventual final, 8-2 score into the third period.
Mangiapane’s assist pushes his streak of points to six games (3-6-9), while Kylington has points in four-straight (1-3-4) and Graovac has three-straight games with points (1-4-5).
