STOCKTON, Calif. – The Colorado Avalanche tied up the Western Conference series with a shutout win over the San Jose Sharks at Pepsi Center with a final score of 3-0.
The Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon scored the opening goal halfway through the second period, which would be the only tally until the third period.
Colin Wilson netted his fourth post season goal, just over three minutes in the period until a late empty net goal with just over a minute remaining. Erik Johnson was credited with the point.
Martin Jones made 25 saves for the loss in the net for the Sharks, several of those were tremendous saves early in the game. Unfortunately, the offense just couldn’t get the puck to the net. Philipp Grubauer had 32 saves in the shutout for the game.
The two teams play game five on Sunday.
