Clan take OT win on Friday night

Glasgow Clan welcomed Manchester Storm to Braehead Arena for Friday night league action in Week 23 of the 2025/26 season, with the hosts taking an OT win.

“That’s a huge win for us,” said Clan’s Tristin Langan. “Especially against Manchester. I thought we played a great game and now we’ve just got to go and do it again tomorrow.”

Colton Poolman gave Clan a 1-0 lead just a minute into the opening period, but after penalties to Poolman and Austin Mitchell-King, Storm tied it on the power play to leave the game 1-1 after one.

The middle frame swung dramatically as the teams traded momentum, with Manchester striking on the power play through Joseph Nardi after a hooking call on Steven Seigo. Brandon Cutler and Brady Gilmour collected the assists on the go-ahead goal.

Glasgow answered quickly when Brett Neumann finished to level the game, but Loren Ulett restored Storm’s lead soon after, assisted by Kaleb Ergang, as Clan began to struggle defensively late in the period despite a late power-play chance of their own.

“After the second we just got together in the room and talked about how we really like our game right now,” added Langan. “We wanted to come out in the third and keep playing the same way to get it done.”

Neumann tied the game again with just under 15 minutes to play, but neither side found a winner in regulation. Eighty seconds into overtime, Tristin Langan secured the extra point for Clan.
