Clan halt Dundee win streak

Glasgow opened the scoring through Tristin Langan, who fired home a rebound at 03:01 after Emil Kruse had made a pad save on Brett Neumann.

Despite Kruse denying Hugo Roy on the initial shot attempt, the Stars failed to clear the rebound, allowing Roy to beat the netminder in close and double the visitors’ lead at 06:37.

Griffin Luce pulled a goal back for the Stars at 16:57 with a shot from the blue line that appeared to deflect off the stick of a Clan defenceman and past Liam Soulière.

Just as it seemed the score would remain 2-1 heading into the first intermission, Rylan Schwartz restored Glasgow’s two-goal cushion late at 19:46, firing a shot off the rush past Kruse.

Otto Nieminen made it a one goal game early in the second period, backhanding the puck past Soulière at 24:00.

Brett Neumann made it 4-2 at 32:55, firing a one-timer off the rush past Kruse.

Glasgow added a fifth through Brady Risk at 37:16 with a one-timer from the high slot just as a delay of game penalty against the Stars’ expired.

Despite chances on both ends of the ice, neither team could find the back of the net in a back-and-forth third period as the Clan skated away with a 5-2 victory in Dundee.
