Mathieu Roy forced a rebounded puck into the net then Riley Nash made it 3-2 Checkers with a shot off the post. At the beginning of the third period the Admirals tied the game again then the Checkers scored three unanswered goals.
Jerome Samson scored his second of the night with a great pass from Chris Terry. Jon Matsumoto scored on a breakaway less than a minute later. Zac Dalpe added number six on a power play.
The win keeps Charlotte in first place in the Midwest division. Saturday (7pm) and Sunday (2pm) November 26/27 they play host to the Milwaukee Admirals. The first 300 fans receive a free pair of gloves courtesy of Piedmont Natural Gas..
The Checkers lead the Admirals 2-1-1 in the Geico Challenge Cup.
